Packing? Or Pinning...how to make the moving process a tad bit less draining

Packing has always been one of those chores I will put off until it cannot wait any longer. Oh the joys of moving .. We know it's a necessary evil or even torture for us to endure but it ultimately is also very exciting and gives us the chance to recreate our living spaces into our new dream homes :-) A great task to look forward to! So...even though I got a little off track with my move..( ie: taking an hour & half long Pinterest break) I count that as "productive" inspirational time to help motivate me in the process !

Obviously it always helps to maintain more of a minimalist style but even then we can find ourselves still having soo MANY things to transport-- thk God for movers!! :-)

To avoid stressing out during your move start Early, and think ahead!! If you honestly haven't "worn it" or "thought about it" in the last 7 months you may need to just give it away friend. One less thing you'll need to worry about.

'SCANDAL' lead actress Kerry Washington Shuts the 2013 Emmy's DOWN in Marchesa!

All Hail Kerry Washington! You are sure to find her on some of the "Best Dressed" lists for Emmy's each year. The definition of "It girl", this woman truly has it all... from talent, beauty, brains & style- there's not much Kerry doesn't do well! So of course there was no chance she could ever let us down for the year's 2013 Emmy's Awards.

'Absolutely stunning' was my immediate reaction to viewing her SS 2014 runway Marchesa gown live on the red carpet. When interviewed about her choice of designer she revealed that, "it was the final look of the Spring Summer 2014 collection Marchesa show at fashion week" and she called the designer right way to be first to snag the dress. Now that's what you call a WINNER. The leading actress didn't walk away with the 'Best Actress in a Drama' win, as we all hoped, for Scandal but she definitely won overall all in our book for 'Best Leading Lady'. The world seems to agree as People Magazine named Kerry Washington, 'Best Dressed Woman in the World'. Need I say more.. (*mic dropped)

Upcycling in an Eco-fabulous Way!

So, I was on the hunt to find an amazing but inexpensive chic "eco-friendly" bar table for my apartment. However after many trips to my usual design shops I was coming up short, finding tables way over my price point ($500-600). Then one Sunday at the Rose Bowl Flea Mkt I finally struck GOLD! Not only did I find a bar table at the perfect height under $250 but it was also handcrafted by a carpenter who only uses reclaimed wood in ALL of his pieces! Added BONUS :-) I am now thoroughly enjoying my new eco-fabulous custom wooden pub dining table by ReClaim It! See you don't always have to spend top dollar on quality furniture that lasts!
